AbdulGaniyu Mahamud Ajetunmobi, a political science student from the faculty of social sciences, has announced his intention to run for the position of Pogsass’s President at the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN).
Ajetunmobi who believe that his campaign, built on the pillars of inclusiveness, partnership, effective communication, and a problem-solving approach, will bring positive changes for postgraduate students at UNILORIN.

I have chosen to answer the call of our dedicated members who prioritize the association’s success above all and who recognize my intention, capability, and leadership skills as worthy to run for President of our prestigious Association.

Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have been privileged to hold leadership positions in various associations, ranging from community and humanitarian organizations to NGOs. My commitment to volunteerism during my NYSC days earned me the prestigious Sokoto Sultanate Council Award for the best male corpser.
As a political scientist, I will bring a unique perspective and a wealth of knowledge in governance and policy-making. My background equips me with the skills necessary to navigate the complexities of leadership and to advocate effectively on behalf of our postgraduate community.

My administration will prioritize an inclusive system where every postgraduate student feels connected and supported. Recognizing the diverse and widespread nature of our community, I will introduce e-activities to engage students, irrespective of their physical location.
Furthermore, I will implement an online ticketing system for complaints and suggestions, ensuring a streamlined and efficient process for addressing your concerns. By bridging the relationship between management and postgraduate students, my aim is to foster a collaborative atmosphere where our collective interests are advanced.
