Arewa Unity Forum Calls for an End to Political Corruption in the Northern Region

Arewa Unity Forum (AUF) has issued a press release expressing concern over the disruption of democracy and fortunes in the Northern Region of Nigeria by corrupt and greedy political leaders.

The group believes that political office holders, both past and present, have used delegates to impose bad leadership on the people, leading to bad governance.

AUF called on the people of the Northern Region to stand firm against any greedy actions of former and present political office holders, who would deceive them again to vote for another regrettable leadership.

They urge the people to support their motivational ideals and cut off the hopes of any political office holders, present, former, and their aides, who would compromise and mortgage their mandate conscience with temporary benefits for their personal gains and interests.

AUF also called on the Northern Region people to let them decide their mandate in the 2027 election. They believe that it is time for the people to take a stand and reclaim their destiny.

AUF knows that it is true some leaders from the North have ambushed our assertion of political rights and mandate into wrong path directions. However, in the 2027 election, the decision is clear: we will no longer be deceived. By the grace of Almighty God, we will take control of our destiny.

AUF calls on the people of the Northern Region to try to deny continuous control of their conscience for political mandate by the so-called former political office holders from compromising and mortgaging our mandate unnecessarily. It is unfortunate, but Arewa Unity Forum is not fighting for a personal war but a war of liberating the people of the Northern Region from what is untrue to unravel the truth of what is happening, not to allow anti-progress of Northern Region assertion of democracy right of governance by disruptors’ leaders from the Northern Region.
