Breaking: Emir of Ilorin Announces New Emirate Title Holders and Honors Prof. Yusuf Olaolu Ali SAN and Hon. Dr. Abdulganiyu Saka Cook Olododo as Kuliyan of Ilorin Emirate and Gaskiya of Ilorin Emirate

The Emir of Ilorin, Maimartaba Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has conferred traditional titles on two distinguished individuals. Prof. Yusuf Olaolu Ali SAN has been appointed as the Kuliyan of Ilorin Emirate, while Hon. Dr. Abdulganiyu Saka Cook Olododo has been named the Gaskiya of Ilorin Emirate.

In his remarks, the Emir emphasized that these appointments were based on the individual merits of the honorees.

Meaning of the Titles:

Kuliyan – This title translates to “Pinnacle of the Law” or “Peak of the Law.” As Kuliyan ngari, Prof. Ali will oversee legal matters within the Emirate, advising the Emir and leading the Emirate’s legal team.

Gaskiya – Meaning “The Truth” or “Fact.” As Gaskiya ngari, Hon. Dr. Olododo will serve as a trusted advisor, responsible for providing the Emir with truthful counsel on the affairs of the Emirate.
