Ilorin Women Association (IWA) saddened by the gruesome murder of Hafsoh by an ungodly supposed Alfa

The Ilorin Wcomen Association has expressed shock and sadness at the killing of Lawal Hafsoh Yetunde, a final year student of Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin whose dismembered body was found in the room of a man alleged to be an Alfa.

In a statement by the Coordinator of the group, Prof. Aisha Gobir in Ilorin today, after the news of the gruesome murder of Hafsoh filtered out from different social media platforms on February 14, 2025, she desribed the incident as shocking and unbelievable.

Prof. Gobir expressed shock that the promising life of Hafsoh had been cut short due to the ungodly ambition of the young man seeking shortcuts to quick wealth.

While commending the Nigerian Police Force for its swift response to the complaint lodged by the parents of the late Hafsoh, which led to uncovering of the crime, she disclosed the readiness of IWA to work with other progressive proups in the Emirate to rid the community of acts that are inimical to the ideals of its founding fathers through advocacies and productive mentoring.

She advised parents to be more involved in the lives of their children to be able to nip their excesses in the bud before they engage in disgraceful acts that could tarnish their image and paint the community in a negative light.

She equally called on youths and other social media users to be mindlful of the extent to which they engage in revealing personal information about themselves on the impersonal platforms.

She then prayed to Allah to forgive the late Hafsoh her shortcomings, to console her family and touch the hearts of evil doers so that they can toe the path of righteousness.
