NANS Plan Sept. 15th Protest Against Incessant Fuel Price Increase
The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has issued a protest notification in response to the government’s recent increase of fuel prices, which has sparked widespread concern among students.
The recent fuel price increases have generated significant opposition among Nigerian students, who fear that the hikes will exacerbate existing hardships.
In a statement issued by NANS, the Senate President Sen. Okunomo Henry Adewumi, the union has called on the government to reverse the decision to raise fuel prices immediately.
If the government fails to address the students’ concerns, NANS has threatened to organize mass protests in major cities across Nigeria to draw attention to the issue.
The NANS leadership has also demanded the removal of Mr. Kyari, the current Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), in response to his perceived role in the fuel.
The protest notification issued by NANS reflects the growing dissatisfaction among Nigerian students with the government’s handling of fuel price increases and their potential impact on the country’s economy and citizens.
