Football in Nigeria Would Benefit From NPFL Players Relocating To Benin Republic, Says Former Kwara United Coach Samson Unuanel

One of the main problems that needs to be addressed before it eventually kills Nigerian football if it continues is the influx of players and coaches leaving the country for greener pastures in other parts of Africa.

This was said by former Kwara United coach Samson David Unuanel in a press conference held at the recently finished 2024 Amapro Football Championship in the capital of Kwara State, Ilorin.

The players’ arrival will primarily impact Nigeria, according to Coach Unuanel, who recently started as the head coach of Ayema D’adjarra of the Benin Republic. He claimed it is a terrible sign for Nigerian football.
