RUDN University, KWASU organise 2-day training as Ilorin born female Professor Saudat Baki to tutor participants on journal writing tomorrow
In a collaborative effort between RUDN University in Russia and Kwara State University, Malete, a Professional Course on Academic Activities in Journals Publishing was organized for academic scholars and researchers.
In his opening remarks, the Vice-Chancellor of Kwara State University, Prof. Sheikh Lukman, represented by Dr. Kabiru Mustapha, welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of maintaining the partnership between the two universities.
He encouraged attendees to make the most of this valuable opportunity and commit themselves to learning the skills of academic research writing and publishing.
The lead course facilitator, Associate Professor. Mustapha Muhammad Jamiu from the Institute of Geo-political Communication, Faculty of Philology, RUDN University, Russia, exposed participants to various topics, such as Academics writing, Data analysis for Academics, Uses of data analysis tools, Review work in the journal, Steps for writing for national and international journals, and the editorial standards of high-quality journals.
The training was highly interactive with participants grouped into (8) eight groups, different practical tasks and assignments were given and to be presented tomorrow.
An Ilorin born female Professor, Saudat Abdulbaki of University of Ilorin, Department of Mass Communication is expected to be the lead facilitator on “Writing in Journals”
The training was attended by large numbers of participants across tertiary institutions in Kwara State include; University of Ilorin, Kwara State University, malete, Kwara Polytechnic, Colleges of Education.
