Ilorin Born Community Leader Alhaji Uthman Commends Philanthropists, Urges Sustained Support Beyond Ramadan

The National President of the Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA), Alhaji Uthman Muhammad Jagunma, popularly known as Jagunma Ti Oba Ilorin, has commended well-meaning Nigerians particularly Kwara-born philanthropists for their efforts in improving the lives of the less privileged during the sacred month of Ramadan.
Alhaji Jagunma made this known during an exclusive interview with TROVE Online Media in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
The Community Expert praised individuals and groups who have consistently extended acts of kindness, noting that such humanitarian gestures have brought relief and hope to many vulnerable members of society.
The IEYDA President expressed optimism that if these compassionate efforts are sustained beyond the Ramadan period, they would significantly strengthen unity, promote love, and foster peaceful coexistence among citizens. He, however, urged donors and well-meaning Nigerians not to relent in their efforts.
Speaking on societal challenges, Jagunma highlighted that rising insecurity in the country is closely linked to issues such as hunger, starvation, lack of care, and social neglect. He emphasized that addressing these concerns through continuous support for the less privileged would contribute greatly to reducing crime and building a more stable society.
The Ilorin-born community leader further called on Muslims across the globe to uphold and reflect on the lessons learned during the holy month of Ramadan, stressing the importance of compassion, self-discipline, and obedience to the teachings of Allah.
“Allah loves those who adhere to His commandments and live by His injunctions,” he stated.
He also urged Islamic scholars to intensify their efforts in propagating the teachings of Islam through consistent and impactful Da’wah, encouraging moral values and peaceful coexistence in society.
Alhaji Jagunma reiterating the need for collective responsibility in nation-building, emphasizing that sustained generosity and unity remain key to achieving long-term social and economic development
