The Founder of the LOB Foundation, Hajia Lawal Balqees Opeyemi, has inspired students of Government Day Secondary School, Okesuna, Ilorin, with a heartfelt message of hope and determination during the Foundation’s educational outreach on Monday.
Addressing the students through her team, Hajia Balqees shared a touching personal story reflecting her humble beginnings, encouraging the students to remain focused and resilient in the pursuit of their dreams.
“I grew up just like many of you — in classrooms that were not perfect, on streets filled with dreams, hopes, and struggles. I sat on wooden chairs, shared books with friends, and sometimes wondered if life would ever get better. But today, I stand as living proof that no dream is too big and no beginning is too small,” she said.
Her message, filled with inspiration and relatability, was aimed at motivating the students to believe in their potential despite the challenges they face.
Also Speaking during the outreach, the Foundation’s Secretary, Mr. Shamsudeen Lukman Sheu, and Mr. Abdulkadir Jamiu, noted that the initiative is part of a broader plan to reach five schools across Ilorin before the end of the year.
Education remains the foundation for National growth and social change. Through this outreach, we aim to give every child, regardless of background, the opportunity to learn, dream, and build a brighter future,” the team explained
The LOB Foundation restated its commitment to promoting inclusive education and empowering young minds, while calling on individuals and organizations to collaborate in building a more equitable society through educational support.
The Founder of the Foundation, Hajia Lawal Opeyemi Balqees — popularly known as LOB — an indigene of Ilorin from Imam Gambari Compound, expressed gratitude for the success of the outreach and reiterated her vision of uplifting communities through education.
