The National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, has affirmed that the international communities are firmly supporting Nigeria in its counter-terrorism efforts, citing technical assistance already being provided by the United States, France, and the United Kingdom.
The NSA disclosed this during a visit to Kontagora, Niger State, where he met with Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) leaders, including Bishop Bulus Yohanna, and parents of the pupils recently abducted from St. Mary’s Private Catholic School.
Ribadu delivered President Bola Tinubu’s deep concern over the incident, stating that the President has directed security agencies to deploy all necessary resources for the safe return of the children. He added that President Tinubu suspended official engagements to focus on the crisis.
“The whole world stands with us. This evil will not prevail. Your children will come back safely. That is our solemn promise,” Ribadu stressed, assuring the distressed families that rescue operations have been intensified and will not cease until the pupils are reunited with their families.
