Adewole Mega Rally: PDP Records Impressive Turnout in Governor’s Ward Ahead of 2027 Elections

Another significant political outing was recorded by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State as residents of Adewole Ward in Ilorin West Local Government Area trooped out in large numbers to demonstrate their solidarity with PDP candidates across the state ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The message was clearly conveyed by the impressive turnout of residents and the growing number of new members who joined the party during the mega rally organised by the PDP in Adewole Ward, the political ward of the incumbent Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

The rally commenced at Adeta Roundabout, attracting prominent personalities from the ward, including the PDP Ward Chairman, Hajia Abdullateef Mosadi-Oloh un; Chairman of the Adewole Ward Stakeholders Committee, Hon. Abdullateef Tijani; former PDP House of Assembly aspirant, Hon. Muftau Aromaradu; Chairman of the Adewole Mega Rally Committee, Hon. Ismail Mutalud; and Hajia Sekinat Abubakar Apaokagi, among others.

The procession moved from its initial gathering point and passed in front of Governor AbdulRazaq’s family residence, as party members turned out in large numbers to demonstrate their political strength in a peaceful manner.

The moving train of the Adewole PDP Mega Rally proceeded to Idigba Culvert in Adewole Ward, Ilorin West Local Government Area, located just a short distance from the governor’s residence.

The procession later arrived at Pakata Roundabout, accompanied by mammoth crowds of party members, sympathisers, elders, and political stakeholders.

Other communities visited during the rally included Alfa Yahaya and the Sakele community, where elderly women openly expressed their support for the PDP, rejected the All Progressives Congress (APC), and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting PDP candidates in the 2027 elections.

Speaking during the rally, the Adewole PDP Ward Chairman, Hajia Abdullateef Mosadi-Oloh un, expressed optimism that the party would return to power in 2027, citing what she described as the growing hardship and insecurity confronting residents.

She also highlighted her experience serving as a Youth Leader, stating that her greatest strength lies in her ability to manage people and build relationships.

Also speaking, former PDP aspirant for the Ilorin West and Asa State House of Assembly constituency, Hon. Muftau Aromaradu, declared that Adewole was not politically aligned with everyone, but expressed confidence that the PDP, the party associated with the Saraki political dynasty, would win the ward despite the fact that the incumbent governor hails from the same area.

He pointed to the large turnout of party members, supporters, and stakeholders as evidence of the party’s growing strength and the level of solidarity it enjoys in the ward.

Other party elders and members, including the Chairman of the Adewole Ward Stakeholders Committee, also expressed their readiness for the 2027 elections, predicting that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq would lose his ward in the forthcoming poll.
