APC Supporters Rally in Ilorin, Urge Ambassador Seriki to Join 2027 Governorship Race

Kwara politics witnessed a new wave of political excitement today as hundreds of All Progressives Congress (APC) supporters, party stakeholders, and prominent figures from across the state converged in Ilorin for a solidarity rally organized by the Ambassiyah Movement.

The rally, which drew participants from the three senatorial districts of Kwara State, was aimed at urging Ambassador Abdulfatahi Yahaya Seriki to contest the 2027 gubernatorial election under the platform of the APC.

The rally, which kicked off from Pake, brought activities to a standstill as participants marched through major streets of the state capital, including Maraba and Post Office areas. The procession made its way to the frontage of the Kwara State Government House along Ahmadu Bello Way before finally rounding off at Fate.

According to the group, Ambassador Seriki — an Ilorin-born business mogul and Managing Director of Kursi Investment Limited — remains the most credible and capable successor to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq. They described him as a leader with a deep understanding of economic management and political dynamics, whose contributions have positively impacted the lives of people across the 16 local government areas of the state.

The supporters commended Seriki’s unwavering commitment to youth empowerment, women support initiatives, and community development projects. They noted that his philanthropic gestures and investment in human capital development have touched lives irrespective of political or religious affiliations.

The group expressed confidence that if given the opportunity to serve, Ambassador Seriki would leverage his experience, network, and economic expertise to further enhance Kwara’s growth through infrastructural development, job creation, and poverty alleviation programmes.

They reaffirmed their belief that Ambassador Abdulfatahi Yahaya Seriki has the capacity and vision to lead Kwara State to greater heights and called on the APC to adopt him as the party’s flag bearer for the 2027 gubernatorial election.
