By Abdullahi Fawas Tode

Hakeem Mustapha has steadily built a name that echoes compassion and service. He is a man of many parts to some, a symbol of true humanity and excellence. To members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), he represents positive change and leadership by example. From his roots in the Mustapha family of Isale Aluko in Ilorin West, Hakeem is well known for his kind heart and unwavering commitment to helping others.

Following the philanthropic spirit of his mentor, Senator Saliu Mustapha, the Turaki of Ilorin, Hakeem has extended the same values of generosity and community service through his own initiative, the Dan-Alkali Foundation.

The foundation has grown into a beacon of hope for widows, the elderly, and the students, and several communities across Ilorin West. Its impact speaks louder than words offering scholarships to struggling students, empowerment to widows who have lost everything, and various relief programs that reach the grassroots. In a place where many only speak about giving back, Dan-Alkali Foundation truly lives it.

Those who know Hakeem describe him as a man driven by empathy, not politics. His philosophy mirrors that of Senator Saliu Mustapha leadership rooted in humanity and selfless service. Through his growing influence, Hakeem Mustapha is proving that philanthropy is not reserved for the wealthy and powerful but is a shared duty of anyone who believes in uplifting others.

More people are beginning to take note. Today, the name Hakeem Mustapha stands as a bridge between loyalty and legacy a reminder that true discipleship is not about titles or proximity, but about carrying forward the good deeds and values of one’s mentor.
