Kwara 2027: ASKOMP Invites 12 Guber Candidates, Political Parties for Manifesto Discourse
The Association of Kwara Online Media Practitioners (ASKOMP) has invited 12 candidates and political parties for Manifesto Discourse as part of plans to prompt healthy conversations ahead of Kwara 2027 governorship elections.
The Secretary of the Local Organising Committee for the ASKOMP Manifesto Discourse, Saeed Tijjani in a statement issued on Tuesday, said all candidates on the final list released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) were invited to the event.
ASKOMP said the Manifesto Discourse aims to foster issue-based governance and promote constructive political dialogue among key political figures, political parties, and the electorate across the state.
The statement reads: “The Manifesto Discourse will provide candidates and political parties the opportunity to discuss their manifesto, articulate their policy blueprints, working documents and developmental plans directly to Kwara citizens.”
Tijjani explained that the association is also inviting the Organised Labour, civil society organizations, traditional rulers, religious leaders, students association and media partners to participate at the event in order to strengthen democratic process in the state.
