The Law Officers Association of Nigeria (LOAN), Kwara State branch, has commenced a three-day warning strike in response to the state government’s failure to address their demands, as outlined in a 14-day ultimatum.
Following an emergency meeting held on Friday, October 24, 2025, the Association’s Chairperson, Mrs. Medinat Adebisi, noted that the government did not respond to their letter or make any move to resolve the issues raised.
The ultimatum, which expired on October 24, 2025, aimed to facilitate dialogue, but the government’s lack of action forced the Association to proceed with the warning strike.
Mrs. Adebisi reaffirmed the Association’s commitment to pursuing its legitimate demands through lawful means, stating that the three-day strike has begun yesterday Monday, October 27, 2025.
The statement was jointly signed by Mrs. Medinat Adebisi, Chairperson, and Ms. Tolulope Oniyide, Secretary of the Association.
