Sheikh Adara’s Passing, a Great Loss to Agbaji, Ilorin Emirate – Saraki

Former Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has received with profound sadness the news of the passing of renowned Islamic scholar and preacher, Sheikh Abdulraheem Abdulqudri Adara (popularly known as Oniwasi Agba Lagbaji), who until his death was a highly respected figure in Ilorin and a spiritual beacon.

In a condolence message signed by his Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, Dr. Saraki described the late Sheikh Abdulraheem Adara as a devout cleric who dedicated his entire life to the teachings and propagation of Islamic values.

“Sheikh Adara was more than just a cleric. He was a symbol of guidance, humility, and steadfastness in faith. His death is a personal loss, not just to me, but to every sons and daughters of Agbaji, our ancestral home, and to the entire Ilorin Muslim community. He will be sorely missed,” Saraki said.

The Waziri Ngeri of Ilorin, extended heartfelt condolences to the Adara-Agbaji family, his immediate loved ones, and the Muslim Ummah in Ilorin, praying that Allah (SWT) forgives the shortcomings of the departed scholar and grants him eternal rest in Al-Jannah Firdaus.

“May his legacy of knowledge, piety, and service to Islam continue to inspire generations to come,” he added.
