Idris AbdulGaniy Olayinka of Trove Online Media attends a 5-Day Free Digital Media Skills Training organised by 132 Media Network
In a bid to empower and expose participants on digital camera handling and operations, 132Media Network organized a 5-Day Free Digital Media Skills Training in Ilorin, the Kwara State Capital.
The training aimed to equip participants with knowledge and skills in digital media, preparing them for the labour market.
Idris AbdulGaniy Olayinka of TROVE online MEDIA who was one of the participants along with others journalists from various media organizations reported that the training covered a wide range of topics, including camera handling, camera operation, types of cameras (consumer, prosumer, and professional cameras), and the anatomy of a camera.
The introductory and theoretical part was handled by the founder and Chief Executive Officer of 132 media network Mallam Tijani Ajara.
Abdulfatai Babatunde Sodiq Atere, a second facilitator centered his lecture on the Camera Exposure Triangle (Aperture, Shutter, and ISO) and Participants were then given the opportunity to practice their skills through empirical practicals, handling different cameras and completing tasks individually (70% practical, 30% theoretical aspect).
In the remaining four days, participants are expected to be exposed to cinematography, drone piloting, video editing, voice-over, and lighting composition.
Idris AbdulGaniy Yinka who trailed accolades saiying the training was well-organized and facilitated by experienced professionals in the field. Participants had the opportunity to learn from industry experts and practice their skills through practical exercises.
