Ilorin South at a Standstill as SOF Chairman Declares Ambition, Seeks Continued Support and Prayers

n a show of strength and determination, Alhaji Rilwan Sulyman Olawale, Chairman of SOF Foundation, officially declared his ambition to contest for the Ilorin South House of Assembly seat on the APC platform.

The announcement was made during a visit to his ward at Tanke Primary School, where he was greeted with songs and praises from waiting supporters.

According to the SOF Campaign Committee, led by Habib Akewusola, in a statement sent to TROVE online MEDIA, following the declaration, Alhaji Olawale paid a courtesy visit to the Alangua of Tanke in the presence of fifteen Magajis, seeking prayers and blessings for his campaign.

The Alangua, who could not hide his joy, testified that he had experienced the impact of SOF firsthand, even before Olawale developed any political ambition.

He added that the foundation’s impact extends beyond a single ward to all the wards that make up Ilorin South. This strategic move is seen as a masterstroke, as it not only solidifies his support base but also sends a strong message to the opposition.

SOF’s campaign is gaining significant momentum, with the SOLID Movement rallying behind him. The group’s recent endorsement at the APC Mega Unity Rally in Ilorin has further boosted his chances.

The opposition is reportedly unsettled by SOF’s bold move, with some analysts predicting a landslide victory in the upcoming elections.

As one of his supporters put it, “SOF is the man of the moment, and his victory is inevitable. We also thank Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for providing a level playing field for all aspirants to contest and for placing greater emphasis on the increasing number of youths participating in the political space.
