Yahaya Seriki Breaks Down in Tears, Thanks Tinubu, APC Stakeholders, Reaffirms Allegiance to AbdulRazaq Family

The political atmosphere in Kwara State took a new dimension yesterday following the endorsement of business tycoon and politician Ambassador Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki’s gubernatorial ambition by the Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

Governor AbdulRazaq’s decision to back Seriki as the party’s preferred flag bearer was reportedly influenced by the widespread popularity and political acceptance enjoyed by Ambassador Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki across the state.

The governor is said to believe that Seriki possesses the political strength and grassroots support needed to secure victory in the forthcoming governorship election.

A few hours after the governor’s declaration, Ambassador Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki arrived at General Tunde Idiagbon International Airport alongside his political associates as hundreds of APC supporters, stakeholders, and youths thronged the airport to welcome the billionaire politician to Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

Speaking with Trove Online Media correspondent Umar Umar and other journalists shortly after his arrival, Ambassador Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki expressed appreciation to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, APC members, and party stakeholders for their unwavering support and confidence in his political aspiration.

In continuation of the visit, the gubernatorial aspirant proceeded to the Ilorin Emir’s Palace to seek royal blessings from the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Council, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari.

The Emir congratulated Ambassador Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki on his political aspiration and offered prayers for the success of his gubernatorial ambition.

Thereafter, the group moved to Idiagba, the country home of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, to express gratitude to the governor’s family for their support toward his political movement. During the visit, the APC chieftain became emotional and broke down in tears while appreciating the support he had received.

“I was overwhelmed with emotion, but I thank Almighty Allah, my father, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the AbdulRazaq family, APC stakeholders, and party members for the confidence reposed in me. I assure the governor that, by the grace of Allah, his legacy will be sustained,” Seriki stated.
